Agreed. Hard to beat the cast Arsenals. I have 165's with riptide pivot cups and Krank tall bushings and they feel amazing on my Jeffferson 3 with a set of Phat Rollz! And they're quite affordable even with upgraded thane.

Hi guys, not looking for much, just trying to find a simple answer:

Does anyone here own Bear Grizzly's 845 with the 45° degree baseplates?
I'm just looking for the ride height in mm.

Long as they're about the same as Paris 43's or cRonins should be fine. Can't stand when manufactures purposely make up for the low degree angle with an artificially high truck like Gullwing did with their Reverse model.

Performance Longboarding used to have specs like that on their website. It's a bummer that resource for info is gone now.

Know your limits skate at the edge of them but within them and you will get better.

The idea isn't so much to add height, it's to add rake, the extra height is an intrinsic side-effect of that. Since the Grizzlies are raked, they will ride slightly higher than an unraked truck of a similar baseplate angle. However, if you flip the hangers you'll get negative rake and a lower ride height... I believe that's the way Louis Pilloni prefers his Gullwing Reverses, see image below to visualise how flipping the hanger changes the rake and also the ride height. Both trucks pictured are Gullwing Reverses.

Here is a good resource for some truck specs, unfortunately they only have the 52° Grizzlies, but it should give you a rough idea: https://nelsonlongboards.com/blogs/b...howdown-part-2

Oh hey thanks man, I know everything about rake but that's not what I meant. With Gullwing Reverses, I'm pretty sure they've actually heightened the baseplate or something and made it into a feature stating that they've given it extra high ride height so you don't need to play with risers. Otherwise with the amount of rake it has, plus the 48 degree BP angle I don't think it should be as high as it is.

Well that's what I'm trying to tell you, the Reverses are as low as they can possibly be given their baseplate angle and substantial amount of rake. 47° is still a pretty high baseplate angle, you can't compare it to 40° Bears or 42.5° Ronins. Look at the images of the Gullwings above and notice that the pivot cups can not physically go any lower without having to be recessed into the deck. Now look at the image below of 20° Poppies, see how high the pivot has been lifted? That's what it looks like if the ride heigh of a truck has been intentionally (or "artificially") lifted.

Sorry for rambling on, I just wanted to get that point across.
