Default Giacomo Giacomo: short drop through cruiser

Here in Rome we say "le ginocchia me stanno a fà Giacomo Giacomo" when you feel your knees pretty weak. Since I feel my knees just that way (geezer's knees) I was looking for a short drop through cruiser I can push and brake in a comfortable way. I usually ride a zero31 dogtown but it's 39" and pretty heavy, so I've started this 31" board built with only two layers of 6 mm BB (I'm just 60 kg). I didn't want any hassle, no concave, easy to build and easy to carry.

Done. 27 1/2" wheelbase makes it very confortable. Weight with calibers and moronga is 3065 grams. Maybe too flexy, just to ride it to find out if the handle made the board too weak.

If it breaks you will have to do it again with rocker and concave. It would suck because the pyro knee looks like it took many hours to make. Hmm.

I cut handles like that on many decks and it really has very little impact on the flex/strength. If your deck has too much flex I’d blame it on the lack of concave. Deck looks great by the way!

She rides nicely, I wish to have time for some slides in the weekend.

Yes, it would be bad if it breaks but I've built it just to understand if that size is good for me. Anyway I'm pretty quick when burning wood, it tooks just an hour to burn that knee and a pokemon umbreon for a kid

I can call two pieces of BB a board when they climb me up on the top of my small town and they slide getting back

Giacomo Giacomo is one of the best board I've ever ridden for the very easy reason that's what I need. It's light, comfortable and handy, I use every day as a commuter. But i can push the limit even furthur. Same shape, 23".

I feel she's rideable, just needs some refinements. Drop through wells were made for Randals, in this case 150 mm hanger.

I love her. In the end she turns out to be a 24". Slide test as soon as possible. You can call the process the pennyfication of a drop through longboard.

Once you’ve found the handle love it’s hard to imagine a deck without one!

I put some blank chubby wheels on to save minizombies for freeriding

The shorter one looks a perfect tender, so I'm going to find a way to link the two boards. What I got it's a couple of tie rods.

I made some tries with offset and centered plates but I've got to cut and weld the rod. Too long, the trailer tends to overtake the leading board.

The combo rides great with less than a $ of bits and some drilling. Too lazy to cut and weld...
