I used an electric saw to rough things out, then shape with a rasp, sanding screen, and this folding hand saw.

This one is being roughed out.

I could have made a flipped-over template and done this all with the electric router but I didn't bother because I didn't want both boards to be exactly the same.

This way there's more exercise involved but I need the exercise.

Shaping and sanding is complete on the second board.

Same WB more or less. I drilled it from the first board, but they had slightly different kicks, so the decks could not be exactly the same anyway.

Because of that I purposely made them different.

Just for the record, the red board which now has a penguin on the bottom was a Chocolate and the board which is blue on one side and yellow on the other with no art yet was a Darkstar. Both were the same advertized length and width, and nearly the same wheelbase.

Also when I said that I tested the These wheels for Rebound energy, I did not test them by riding a skateboard. I bounce them against each other and against concrete.

Those are old prototypes from Don't Trip.

    I'm not sure what they're called . . . Pre-Trippins? LOL

Anyhow the 8 y.o. kids won't be getting my precisions.

    Just some fancified Indys.

Yeah, I did some shirts for the motorcycle club & I lost my shirt on the deal. LOL

But thank you. I hope you like "Surf Cat" just as well. It was supposed to be a dog, but it looked like a rabbit, so I eventually made it a cat.

Grip is done on the Surfcat, and both boards have clear coat now. I may re-cut the tailend piece. The colors didn't match up well, and I have some extra grip.

There's still a little touch-up to do and fine-tuning but essentially the two boards are both complete.

LOL later I will take some good daylight pictures that don't have my foot, empty dog food bags, or my old computer junk cluttering them up.
