The Daenseu comes in 3 sizes now.

    42, 44 and 46inches.

Any recommendations for size. She rides a 40" pintail with no problem.

I figure the 44 would be the best of both worlds.

    Any advice?
If she is dancing on it … as a 5' person … I agree with the 44". Fully.

The 44" has the most similar wheelbase to a 40" pintail (28" WB) so if she's used to the way her pintail turns, by all means go for the 44.

edit: I just saw you ordered it lol. Hope she enjoys it!

Hey guys im looking to buy my first dancer. Im a heavy rider (280lbs), i have a 9ply earthwing super model right now that i love barely any flex and its a tank. Ive been looking at getting a custom disco 48 from drang mainly cause i can have it custom made to fit my heavy rider needs. Ive talked to Drang a little bit and he said 8 plys would be find but i think it might be a little too flexy for me. Just looking on some advice on how i should get my board made, 9 or 10 plys and what type of concave and rocker if any. Thanks guys!

Hey @jackjoachim ... well I'm no fl-expert but the Drang guys have plenty experience with building dancers so I'd take their advice. THing is, flex is the magical component on a dancer and the extra turn helps create a sort of hammocky feeling which keeps you balanced when you're carving left and right and you've only got one foot on the deck while the other is swinging in the air somewhere.

Suggest asking a few other specialist builders for their advice on a spec to suit you - AM Wood, Longboard Larry - either that or go mainstream on a loaded bhangra. The flex 1's quote your weight category.

Also concave and rocker are often pretty minimal on dedicated dancers because flatter surfaces are better for stepping around on.
Impressive selection of wood, metal and urethane goes here.

Good point, but i feel like i am on the heavier side of heavy when it comes to dancers. thats why i would go with 9 over 8 plys

    I'd go 9.
After jumping around on it for some months - it'll break in and have more flex.
    Just my opinion.

Has anyone tried Rayne Whip longboards? Also, are Liqwood and AM Wood still active in producing boards?

    Liquid is still making boards.
It is unclear what is going on with am wood. I assume he's still making boards.

I have not ridden the Rayne Whip; however, I too would like a review on the whip.

Both seem to be away. Have not received any response from them yet.

I am also considering the new Bustin Daenseu boards. I am looking at the 44 and 46 sizes. Will the 2 inch difference be significantly felt? I'm 5'3 by the way.

A 2" difference in wheelbase is noticeable especially if you are at the shorter or taller end of end of the spectrum
