Default Unglued Prime or Unglued Pickledish

Well I'm not totally new to longboarding and wanted to get a new one because by old one is getting pretty crappy. I just can't decide to get a Unglued Prime with Paris V2 180mm black trucks and Orangatang In Heats or Unglued Pickledish with Bear Grizzly 852 181mm trucks and Abec 11 Gumball wheels. I'm kind of leaning towards the Prime but I just want to hear your thoughts.

Here are the specs: ScissorFlip.com - unique aluminum longboards and skateboards

Please, don't recommend other stuff. Just stick to the stuff.

Well, considering they are the exact same deck with slightly different cut out patterns, the only thing to choose between is trucks and wheels.

I would get Paris trucks rather than Bears.

I would get Abec 11 wheels rather than O'tangs.

I guess I'm not much help...

Dhoffmans right. They're literally the exact same board but different designs on the standing platform. I second the notion of going with Paris over bear. And if you must get abec 11 get them but Id suggest researching some other brands, there's a lot out there

No they are not exactly the same board. The in deck cutout patterns are slightly different! o-0 The dancing hot dogs kinda says it all. No other brands will not do! "Please, don't recommend other stuff. Just stick to the stuff"

Lol yea. Well I think I might go with the one with Paris too. But I'm just curious why you would choose Abec 11 wheels. What's the difference?

They're two different brands of wheels. I can't even count how many things are possibly different. Also, what's the attraction to these for you?

I was thinking that wheel durometer would affect some things. I'm not into sliding or anything but I do do dh. I just want the wheel with more control.

I was also wondering which one you guys would get: Beercan Board Oat Soda or the Unglued one. I'm just having trouble deciding which one to get.

I'm still wondering why you're so attracted to these aluminum boards with unnecessary cutouts and no grip. Also, I find it hard to believe that you "do DH" but don't slide

So, you ride your board in the downhill direction huh? You might want to read up on different wheels, trucks, and planks to mount them on. There's a whole lot of info here on the fish to be had, more info than you will receive in responses to a query.

    Trigger Warning **Recommending "Other Stuff"
    $300 Hell no honestly
get a Pantheon or Clutch Drop through Underdog way better for less this seems like an ill fated venture
Neither wheel is my go to
I'd still go with the Paris and the Abec11 ones if I had to pick
however I'd go with Rad advantages or Cannibals before those Alu boards are heavy and expensive really
There is so much info out there … is google broke? If you can't figure out how to search google … then stick to practicing your skating. Ask people to do the research for you or simply tell you the answer … isn't going to win you points … and certainly would get you fired from many jobs. Man up … and quit assuming this is a problem of people just not helping you. Many folks have … needlessly … out of niceness. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't do your own homework.

Actually, there is grip (I think). On the website it says they are sandblasted to provide permanent grip, but I'm not so sure about the permanent part. Also, I want this board is because of it's uniqueness. I don't really care about the cutouts but I like the aluminum finish. And for the downhill thing: there are steep hills around my house, but none of them are actually with a lot of steep turns and they just gradually level off... so yeah. But I guess you have a point.

I mean I personally wouldn't buy one for the reason you're stating which is the desire to be a special snowflake. Aluminum is very expensive and very heavy keep that in mind

So what are your recommendations? Ignore what I said in the title. Also what about Loaded Tan Tien? I was planning on getting that before I saw the aluminum boards.

My recommendation is posting in the "looking for a new board" thread and specifying what you're looking for. Or just do some research on your own and big name sites like muirskate or daddies. If you're looking to go fast, I wouldn't buy the tan tien. General rule of thumb, flexy isn't good with fast

I posted a few alternatives a while back on this thread as well go with something cheap cease quality isn't expensive and boards wear a lot. No one cares what you're riding as long as you are preforming on it. I have a shredded up Jet Kick that looks awful didn't cost much but if I ride well on it people thunk its awesome
