Default Birch CNC longboards - Progress Photos

Progress photos of some longboards CNC'd from 5/8" Birch Plywood.

    Dimensions are
    Small Pintail
    7-1/2" x 38"

    Large Pintail
    9-1/2" x 38"

    Oblong
    7-3/4" x 44-1/2"

The small pintail was the first one to be cut out. The large pintail is an evolution of the small pintail with an increase to the width.

I have stained the small pintail with Minwax "Early American" stain. The stain really makes the grain pop out. Photos coming. The two pintails are intended to receive laser engravings. The Oblong is too large to fit in the laser, it may get a laser cut grip tape.

I have two smaller (about 30") hardwood boards in process. Need to plane and glue the boards together.

The small pintail and oblong are too narrow, however are good prototypes efforts.

    More photos to come weekly.

    New layout - 43" x 9"

Going to try some stenciling on the new blank boards.

The edges of the boards are rounded using a 1/4" bit with a palm router
