6.0 means a 6 inch hanger, So the axle is about 8.5, is that correct?

Stock carver wheels on that or what did you set the board up with? You've got the take it to the coping on that half-domed session of the first pool. I know you can. A wicked cut back at the top of that would be primo!

I use Strava (app for cyclists/runners) when I skate.

I did 14 miles over three days last week.

Today I did 5.1 at the local park on my new board. So much fun!

I learned rock N rolls over the last few weeks too. I never had that trick, back in the day. I'm only doing 'em on a 3 foot, no coping quarter but I'm still stoked on 'em.

I hope to get the balls up to drop into the six foot section of the pool soon.

I'm getting a better control on/in transition and it feels awesome!

It's finally looking like late spring around here. Things are drying out and its been nice weather for a few days. I hit the nearby bowl yesterday for a fun session but no pics. Today my wife and I went to the local park. She likes to roll around the big flat area. I brought 4 boards, stuck mostly to the mini ramp and after awhile she played with a new to us camera that we brought along.

The boards I brought out today were:

An OG Sims E Lester Kasai

Another OG Sims Lester. I am not sure if it's an epoxy but I do know it has more kick in the tail, slightly longer wheel base and is lighter than the black and green Lester.

Finished my sketchy "MINI-mini" ramp last week and have been spending a couple minutes each day out on it. I snagged a Fresh Parks quarter pipe off Craigslist for $100 awhile back and got tired of dragging it out to the street. We don't have a driveway. It was super easy to hit out in the street so I figured adding a 2nd quarter and some platform in between the two would be pretty cheap and easy.

I had no trouble throwing three wheels out with the quarter in the street. However dropping in to this with only 48" to play with end to end is proving more difficult than I imagined. Takes a full hard TRUE 180 at the top to be coming back down straight enough to make it back across. In the street I could carve a bigger arc, throw three wheels out, and come down at more of an angle with room to spare heading back out in to the street. Can't do that here. Have to kick turn a lot sharper. Throwing a full hard 180 on it with 3 out tends to throw the other rear wheel over the top ala little disaster move. I'm getting there but tend to bail out when that happens. I'm glad it didn't work out to be too easy for me. It's definitely skateable and I can drop in to it and get fun runs on it up around the top now but the coping hits will take more practice.. haven't been to a real park in over 4 years. No doubt this set up would have been way easier for me 20 years ago and most here could totally kill it. Just happy to have made a way to get back on some features for this old man. Love the stoke here!

Well, the thing is, they built the "big bowl" B_I_G, so the skooter kooks and other rats pretty much stay out of the way when the vert crew is present.

OK first photo fish eye made it look a lot bigger, like 12-15 feet. That's way more reasonable hahaha.

Oh sure, now that we've got the camera angle trickery resolved all can see that is far less intimidating than originally thought. No chance of an aged skater suffering a fractured hip leading to a life ending pneumonia by falling off that bad boy. Practically child's play. Too bad they didn't make it bigger. Was this park designed for 5 year olds?

This old fart would only shoot for breaking my hip from halfway up that vert, if that. 3 out on the quarter next to it would be my best effort for sure.
