Its a great board to learn on, but you should make some adjustments. Also keep it out of extreme temperatures... I dont think it likes them. Lol

Good to learn on, but cant handle anything extreme. Make sure to get a better grip for it before doing anything crazy fast.

Bearings: ABEC 7
Wheels: Arbor Sucrose Initiative - 71mm
Shockpads: 1/8
Washers to prevent damage around the nuts.
Typical Session Discipline
Downhill, Carving
How much did you pay?
$200.00
Where did you purchase it?
Online, lol
What were the strengths of the deck.
It is very sturdy, took some very hard hits. :/
The design made it easy to freeride.
Lower to the ground, easier to push into slides.
Pretty board, lol
What were the weaknesses?
Grip goes away fast!
Not enough rocker to hold feet on board, that combined with poor grip meant feet slipping off often.

Weird occurrence, when i had the board shipped to my home from my university in TX, it must've been very hot in transport because when it arrived it was slightly warped. Instead of sitting like normal, it kind of twisted a little bit so that it lifted on of the back wheels off the ground. After maybe a week it returned to normal. I was not very happy when i first saw it had twisted. :/
Similar decks you have ridden?
The other Arbor Axis decks are almost exactly the same.

What were the strengths of the deck.
- It's beautiful :D

- More importantly, this deck is stable, their is also some concave so its good. It's a little bit flexy (I'm 155 pounds) but not too much, so perfect for commuting/cruising/carving with still keeping some aptitude for light downhill / sliding...

- You can definitely slide this thing. With the good wheels/bushings/grip tape, definitely have some possibilities for light freeriding sessions, at least for practicing Coleman & toeside hand-down slides as I do. (I will not bet on big stand-up slides, but, obviously, it's not its purpose)

-About the reactivity and commercial service of Arbor: 10/10, perfect! (see weaknesses)
What were the weaknesses?
- The stock setup is bad. I got it with no-name bearing, Arbor 72mm wheels, stock bushings and transparent grip tap... In less than 1 month, one bearing was dead. Switched to Bones Red since, and no problem. The transparent grip tape is beautiful at the beginning, but it turns out to be awful when you start to do more serious riding. I regrip it several times, before switching to Edger grip tape. And now you can slide the wheels on the road, not your feet on the board! About sliding, the Arbor wheels are not good also.

- The concave when you start to do more serious ridding... Sometimes I'm wondering where my feet are, because of the lack of marks for your feet... You just have the concave to play with. In another hand, I have to say that once you're used to it, you can play with the rails of the board to have some points to know where your feet are, but its still not perfect...

- I had a real problem with stress cracks at the beginning also. Their was so much of them after 1 month of riding that I mailed Arbor. I returned to them my board and they sent me a new one in less than two weeks. I mounted it with home-made thin shock pads made in rubber on both sides of the bolts. I still got stress cracks in a short time, but much less than previously. So get shock pads or the top layer in bamboo will get pretty serious shock pads rapidly.... This seems to not affect the ride, but, still... Despite that, no other problems with durability.

Where did you purchase it?
parents bought it at Zumiez
What were the strengths of the deck.
at first I was skeptical of this board but over the months it has come to be my FAVorite cruising board ever, I love it, it rides very well, has nice flex to it (i weigh 215lbs), it has surprisingly really good turn radius even though it's 40in long (might just be the paris trucks, but...whatever)and has no wheel bite whatsoever!!! It just feels aesthetically great.
What were the weaknesses?
its got quite a few stress marks, ive added washers beloe the mounting bolts, added stronger bolts and put shock pads on the drop-thru deck. its seems to be riding great now, and im not too worrried about the stress marks anymore. the only problem I see with this board later on is its durablity, but its still looks and feels awesome!

This is the perfect board for beginners in downhill. it's cheap, attractive, very stable, and holds up for a long time. Not very good for doing tricks like shove-its though. I learned everything i know on this board, its a perfect introductory board to the more advanced side of longboarding. but for very experienced riders, you should look for something more complex and technical.

downhill, sliding, cruzing
How much did you pay?

Zumiez. but not with my current set up on it
What were the strengths of the deck.
very very stable for downhill. not too flexible but enough for it to be smooth and turn easily
What were the weaknesses?
not very deep concave so the rider can slip off easily during a hard slide if the griptape is bad. Claer factory grip that comes on it is awful and comes off easily.

What were the strengths of the deck.
It looks really nice and i'm sure that it performs alright for a beginner who doesn't have freestyle in mind!
What were the weaknesses?
This is the problem. Mine broke. I had it for literally 2 weeks doing some freestyle stuff and it broke. the nose just snapped. It almost had me quit longboarding (So glad i didn't though!) because it was the second longboard breaking incident in a couple months.
